What an honor!

One of my bestest friends, Anastasia Rybovalova has asked me to be her maid of honor at her wedding! She called me a few days ago to ask me. I wish I was closer to home so I could be more available for planning for the wedding. Cheers to Joe and future-Mrs.-Anastasia-Rokicki!

They would like to have their wedding in Greece, and I just can't wait! I've been searching online for locations, and they are all just jaw-dropping-AMAZING.

New Year, New York

Missing In Action
Alrighty. So it seems this blog has become a bit of an online diary when I feel like I'm on a new adventure. In review, I've found I mostly blog when I move to a new place like Guam or Spain or begin a new adventure like starting college. I wish I blogged more frequently, so I will try. ;)

Since Granada in 2011...
To catch up, I graduated from Santa Clara University in June of 2013 with honors and a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Public Health Science. I studied and performed well on the September 2013 MCAT, and I have intentions of applying to medical school in the future.

New Year, New York 2014
In January of 2014, I moved to New York City with my boyfriend Brandon. I met Brandon when he was a third-year law student at Santa Clara University when I was a senior in the undergrad. Brandon was offered a job here in NYC and found a place for us on Upper East Side.

Brandon has been here for 6 months, and I'm still in my transition phase as I've been here for about 3 weeks. I currently have a part-time job as an SAT prep instructor, and though I don't believe I will make a full career of exam prep, it feels great to put your college degree to work. In the meantime, I am still trying to find a second job to help pay some bills (and hefty college loans..)

In my first few weeks here, I've tried to engage with the new community I'm in while still trying to stay on budget! I don't have the budget to join a gym, so I'm keeping up to date with the events offered by Lu Lu Lemon, Athleta, and Nike here in the city. I took a yoga class with a very zen instructor; I learned some new mantras and attempted acrobat yoga! This week, I'll attend free fitness classes at Athleta - they range from a barre class to weights and cardio - I'm excited!

I'll keep you updated.
